This is partially correct meaning the topic is accurate. But “ashes” was only added in the 20th century along with “ring around the rosie” being changed from “ring-a-ring-roses”.

Ring-a-ring-a-roses,
A pocket full of posies,
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
We all fall down.

Atishoo is the written representation of the sound of a sneeze, hence where the name “tissue paper” comes from as it was paper made for sneezing and blowing your nose. “Achoo” is a more modern and accurate onomatopoeia for the sound of a sneeze. Or it can be seen as a natural abridging and changing of a word via incorrect phonetics over time.

What I was taught in an English Lit class in college was:
Ring a ring of roses:
The black plague sores often ran in circles that looked like tiny red roses on the body.

Pocket full of poses:
The name for a small hankie carried in the pocket to cover the nose from the stench.

Atchoo, atchoo:
The black plague also attacked sinus cavities and made ppl sneeze endlessly.

We all fall down:
We die.

I think that this is what it means:

Ring around the rosies

They're spinning around the roses that they put on someone's grave

a pocket full of posies

idk

ashes, ashes

the way that hindus and buddhists bury people after death

we all fall down

we will all die

Ring around the Rosie has nothing to do with the Black Death, despite some controversy

The second version witch goes like “ring around the roses catch you by the tosies” is based of a monster under a bed that catches children by the feet and kill them and turn there bones into rings for her fingers when she kills children they call her Rosie because she take the blood and makes white roses red again and then when the child turns to ashes she burns the rose!
