Year 1-100 humankind learns to dig hole.
Year human tries anything else aside from more digging.

Call for locates. Murphy says you will hit sewer, power, gas driving those pipes in.

Very interesting concept. A couple observations- 1- Rust, Steel pipe will eventually rust out in a couple decades leaving that small surface block unsupported where concrete will last a hundred years. 2-Cost, Here in my area a bag of concrete is about $6 a bag requiring about 6 bags for a deck footing where 1” galvanized pipe is $6 a foot! If you are using 6’ pipes and need 4 to complete the job that’s $144 for pipe plus the EZ pier compared to $36 in concrete plus $18 for a form tube. That’s a difference of about $100 per footing in material. For some reason Pipe costs have doubled in my area over the last couple years.

$237 a pop. I'll just dig and concrete bag it.

This is crazy, these are open ended pipes just waiting to rust out and dissolve into the ground within a few years

As a direct descendant of a tower engineer at Pisa, I see this as an absolute win.

Had these installed for my deck. I warned the contractor that the soil is full of large rocks and diamond piers don't work in rocky soil conditions. I'm a project manager that works mainly on excavation and piles so i have experience with these. They decided to install these footings anyways. They all cracked and have significant cracks. I called the contractor out and they replaced 2 of the 4. The other 2 have cracks that expose the inside of the footings. I told the contractor that snow, rain, and the elements will eat away at the exposed concrete that isn't sealed. I expect the other 2 to be replaced within the next 2-5 years.

I can see a lot of electrical service calls happening with this product.

This is one of those things I see and think it’s a great idea, then the more loops I watch the more I realize it ain’t.

Can't wait for Part 2: I'll never get this thing straight.

That is pretty cool! Never saw it before, thanks

Seems like something I would hit with an excavator because the dig ticket didn’t show strange pipes extending multiple feet from each deck footing.

Just saw these at the lumber yard the other day and was wondering how they were. Thanks for sharing this

I ran a custom fence with all terminal posts every 8 feet no line posts. I wanted it to be stout. I used a gas powered auger and went the required depth for every single post. Bonus: It was a great workout digging past roots and rocks and hauling/mixing cement. I would never use this product even if I had to do the whole thing again.

Love these things. They go in super easy and as the frost heaves them out of square over the years, I'm long gone.
