Calculate missing number:
Answer is 1

you add 10 on the numbers in the small square to get the numbers on the big square
so 5 + 10= 15, 13+10= 23, 22+10= 32, and last 1+ 10 = 11

calculate percentage difference between projects is 50%
First project 8 hours
second project 12 hours
difference between 12-8= 4
4 is 50% of 8 so 50% longer for the second project

Is there a right or wrong way to getting to the answer?

My answer is 1 but method of getting there is different;
The difference between numbers in a big circle is 4 and 11 (Horizontally), and the small circle has difference of 11 already which which means only 4 is left, so 5-4=1

To solve the square problem, one can identify that following the counter clockwise direction, te sequence is number + 4, then number + 8, then number + 9.If you apply that pattern on the inner square, you get x equals to 1.

Missing number in the smaller square. In the outer square we see the smallest number is 11.
11 + 4 =15
15 + 8 = 23
23 + 9 = 32

Inner square:

If we use the same steps we can say / guess that:
x + 4 = 5 (implies 1) => then apply same rules as above:
5 + 8 does equal 13
13 + 9 does equal 22

I see you have the answer the same but based on different logic. Is this answer therefore wrong? :-)

We are assuming her age, we are not 100% on her age? No where in there does it mention any ages of the siblings, therefore this whole process doesn't work.
