Got a short notice invite to the Fire service psychometric testing. These made up a portion of the questions. As I was short of time I decided that I needed to spend quite a bit of time on this over maths and English which I considered myself to be fairy naturally good at 😅 I scored well but actually scored best and above average in the abstract reasoning section.. 100% thanks to this video as before watching it I did tend to struggle without the structured plan of attach he gives you! If there are ever tests i needed to complete in the future, that Richard has available to buy for practice, I would be first in line. Thanks Richard!!

Update - Found out today that I successfully passed the psychometric tests and I’m being advanced to the next stages of the recruitment process!

2.) D, The square in the middle alternates from black to white, and the circle inside a square does too. The two triangles separated by the circle within a square rotate along the edges of the outer square (the square base) anticlockwise.
4.) D, The dots position do not actually matter as they don't form a consistent pattern. The dots is you look at them diagonally form a pattern. The domino side at the top and the domino side at the bottom form a pattern. The domino side increase by one each time. Whereas the bottom side of the first domino and the top of the second will alternate between these two numbers, 3 and 1. In dominos the usual patterns are: diagonal, straight line pattern, or the sum of the dominos' dots. Maybe even and odd will occur sometimes.
5.) C, The dominos this time go in a straight pattern. The top sides increases by one dot each time and the bottom sides decrease by one each time. The second pattern is that on the top side, The arrows alternate from black to white, the black arrows ALWAYS face left and the white arrows ALWAYS face right. The reverse happens for the bottom sides of the dominos.
7.) C, The sides of the shape in the middle decrease by one each time, and the arrow on the top left corner switches colour in this pattern: black, red, green. The thin line the protrudes the shape in the middle and reaches the corner of the square rotates in a 90 degree angle, clockwise.
9.) D, firstly, it's the only square with two different coloured smaller arrows. The external arrow and the internal arrow ( the one inside the big one) should be the same colour. The reason why it's not the other choices is because the internal arrow should face the opposite way the bigger arrow is facing. So where the white arrow and black arrow face is not certain. White doesn't always face down and black up.

Answer is D, alternating pattern top to bottom increases by 1 (top-bottom sequence) and bottom-top sequence alternates 3 dots then 1dot in that order

Q9 is D because B have two arrows that are both shaded in and out, which means they will clear out. D is the odd one.
