Water restoration business (truck | van setup)

In today's video we look our truck and van setups for our water damage trucks. Over the years we had just about every type of vehicle from pick up trucks, large box trucks, cargo vans, ford transits and even the transit connect.

While each vehicle had its place in the company, we eventually settled in on a single type of vehicle and a single setup. In this video we will discuss what we had, what we liked about it and then we delve into the interior rack system.

My company uses the Chevy Express vans. I personally have 5 deheus an extractor, 3 totes of supplies and anywhere from 12-16 air movers and 1-3 air scrubbers. Ladder strapped to the interior roof. The other guys in my crew and even customers always are amazed in how well my van looks. Organization is key.

How much can the techs make? I'm looking to get out of CDL driving and be home every night. And yes, there are local CDL jobs, but my current commute is 44 miles each way to pick up the truck.

What if your truck or equipment gets stolen? Do you carry insurance for that? Sometimes you hire a bad apple or drive in a bad part of the neighborhood.
