The Best Trading Opportunities Come During Times of Most Volatility

I think it depends how you define "volatility" - if you're talking about the huge chop in the first half hour of the day...no way to get any R:R unless you get a pinpoint entry, which is super hard to get in the chop. Or a great premarket entry. In my opinion, the best opportunities are the nice, clean, long moves of the midday - great R:R (tens of R:R) that I can't imagine getting during the open. Obviously most stocks just chop for the rest of the day, but if you get into a nice solid move, then you can get a great R:R with a fraction of the market open stress.

You learn this over time spent in the market. I love volatility. Especially, since I don't like to hold positions for long. When my signal hits I want the volatility to get me immediately in the money & get me out for the most.
