100 Engineers, 1 Building

Показать описание
100 engineer bots work together to speed up the erecting of a building (in Team Fortress 2)
---
SCRIPT:
In the game Team Fortress 2 the engineer class can speed up the erecting of buildings by hitting them with his wrench, each hit slightly speeds up the process. He's not limited to only doing this for his own buildings, he can speed up the erecting of buildings created by teammates. Multiple engineers can work together on a single building and cause it to erect faster compared to one of them working alone.
The engineer has a melee weapon called the Jag. The Jag has the attributes “Construction hit speed boost increased by 30%” and “+15% faster firing speed”. These attributes make it his best melee for speeding up how fast buildings erect.
What would happen if we take this game mechanic to the extreme? How would it look like if 100 engineers, all equipped with the jag, worked together to erect a single building? Let's find out.
Wow, that was faster than your mom last night WHAT!

Someone on reddit asked how I made 100 engineers hit a dispenser. Here's a guide:
- Start by putting "-unrestricted_maxplayers" in TF2's launch options on Steam. Launch the game and use the commands "sv_cheats 1" and "maxplayers 100" to make it possible to have 100 players and use the next commands in this guide.
- Next use the commands "mp_autoteambalance 0" and "mp_teams_unbalance_limit 0" so that teams can be unbalanced.
- Next load up whatever map you want with the command "map [mapname]. Once loaded join a team or spectator.
- Next use "mp_restartgame 1" or just wait 30 seconds for the "waiting for players to join" phase to finish done.
- Next use the command "ent_fire team_round_timer kill" to kill the game timer. Now the round will not start and never end so nothing stops you from taking as much time as needed.
- Next spawn bots with the command bot followed by some parameters. You can specify the team, the class, and the bot's name if you want. I'll give an example to show how the syntax works: "bot -team blue -class engineer -name dude" this will spawn a blue engineer named dude.
- So construct the command to spawn whatever class on whatever team you want. If you mess up you can kick the bot with the "bot_kick [botname]" command.
- Use the command 99 times. Note: it's a good idea to lower graphical settings, shadows in particular can really kill FPS when there's 100 bots on screen.
- Next find the location you want to place the bots. Use "noclip" to get the location faster if you want. Once you have the location move the camera to the orientation you want the bots to face. When ready use the command "getpose". This will put a line of text into the console. Copy it. If you use this text (it's 2 commands) it will teleport you to this spot.
-Next use the command "bot_teleport all" and paste the line of text after. Make sure to remove the "setpose" part and the ";setang" in the middle. Use the command to teleport all the bots to that one spot.
- To make the bots have the Jag just join a team as engineer and equip it yourself. Then after touching a resupply cabinet use the command "bot_mirror [bot name]" this will make that one bot use your loadout. (including cosmetics). Do it 99 more times for the other bots.
- Now you have 99 bots plus you, so 100 players in total with jags.
- Use the command "bot_mimic 1" to have the bots mimic your movement. use the same command but with 0 at the end to make them stop. If a bot dies it resets back the default loadout.
Note: all engineers mimic the player but the game has trouble rendering them all swigging their melee at once.
