2025 Toyota Crown Platinum Review!

When when you first look at the Toyota Crown from a distance, you see an an attractive, yet another sedan, but as you come closer, the extra cladding and higher ground clearance makes it look like a lifted crossover sedan, reminding Subaru Outback Sedan or a Volvo S60 Cross Country. Remember them? Right… that’s how successful they were.

We can look at the Crown as a replacement for the Avalon. It is built on TNGA-K, the same platform that the Camry, Lexus ES, or the RX are built on, among others, and comes with an e-AWD system. We can choose between a 236 hp variant with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and an eCVT or a 340-hp Hybrid max which features a 2.4-liter turbo and a 6-speed conventional automatic.

Other cars to consider are Toyota Camry, Toyota Crown Signia, Lexus ES, Honda Accord, or a Toyota Venza.

What are your thoughts on the Toyota Crown? Would you consider it over actual SUVs? Let me know!

I personally think the Crown looks Stunning, and it will be on my list when looking for a new car in the next few years. However, the Platinum Model costing $52K+ seems a little too expensive for any Toyota product, and they may sit on the lot much longer. I prefer the Limited with a smaller, but very adequate engine, that gets much better gas mileage and costs much less. At a $41K Limited Model starting price point, this car will appeal to people looking for a little more comfort, luxury, and quietness than the Camry can provide, but without having to pay Lexus prices.

This is an interesting car - for older people who want to be able to easily get in an out and want a sedan

selling the crown in th US makes sense. Why design a new Avalon from the ground up that only a few people will buy. Just import an already existing car. If it. doesnt sell, they will just stop importing it. its also great for buyers who want Lexus quality ar a Toyota price.

This I called the excellent crown. Best acceleration, better quality and better performance, I know people will gonna say this a weirdo car, but I call it a masterpiece, this with a chassis from crossover and body from sedan, that’s how makes feel to ride like an crossover but with a sedan body, Here in Middle East you can Choose XLE, Premium, and Majesta, you can choose a 2.5 Hybrid, or a 2.4 Turbocharged hybrid crown (in American market it called I-Force Max) better reliability and better sedan-crossover crown, Don’t buy a signia suv and get this instead

Probably not available in the UK, sadly.

I can't imagine trading the superior fuel economy for the concerns of a turbo engine even at the same price.

I'll take the electric car with gasoline assist experience over the extra power any day.

If they will bring the liftback over to the U.S. I will be very interested (it can be my "big Prius"). Otherwise the RAV4 will probably get my $$$

Very nice review but he sounds like he has a mouth full of marbles, very hard to understand him.
