Driver DESTROYS Trailer Axles With Concrete Pole. Not often I can see this is a first, but this is a first. I've had plenty of damaged rear axle jobs, but as you'll see in the video I've never bandaged one up like this to have the driver drive it off. Granted, he didn't drive far at all. Just from one side of the facility to the other, but doesn't change the sketchy factor either way.
Turns out this driver wasn't speeding either! Looks like a 30mph hit from all the horrible damage. The entire frame underneath, the rear bumper, the shifted axle and broken hangers, leaf springs, etc. What really happened is the driver got temporary blinded/distracted from the triple digit heat and the trailer caught the concrete pole at just the right angle to destroy it.
Nonetheless, I was up to the task in my 50ton rotator, HULK. Step 1 was to lift the trailer off the axle, while step 2 was to use my deck and auxiliary winch in tandem to pull the axle back out to me. Once I had it just right, I set the trailer back down and used a combination of chains, straps and binder to "glue" it all together.
This quick band aid fix worked in a pinch and allowed the driver to drive out of the facility and into the parking lot where they wanted it. Absolutely love these McGuyver style jobs. And please stick to the end and let me know what you guys think of the new green screen and how I can incorporate it more!
I also made a brand new merch website with my own designed custom shirts and apparel here:
►All footage was shot with a DJI Action 4. I also edit my own footage using DaVinci Resolve Studio.
► The wireless headsets that I use on all my rotators:
► Buy your own Guardian Angel Device just like mine here!
