I went to golf Galaxy and tried every putter under $250. Then tried the omoi 3 and fell in love with it but seen the price was $350 and put it back. Ended up buying a odyssey stroke lab and felt like I made the wrong decision so then returned it and ended up buying the number 3 and I wanted the blue. It looks and feels amazing. Best putter I’ve ever tried including Scotty and Evenroll etc. couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Here’s some interesting trivia for you, Matt:
“Omoi” (重い) means “heavy” in Japanese! The Japanese LOVE wordplay!
I’m thinking that the Mizuno putters must be very popular here in Japan—I spend a lot of time visiting used golf club shops and I RARELY see Mizuno putters in them, even though Mizuno products are (understandably) VERY popular here in Japan, which has led me to believe that people might be hanging on to their Mizuno putters…
(Note: The Japanese LOVE golf and the price of gear is rarely a consideration when they they buy golf products — they don’t mind showing off the “premium” clubs in their bags!)

Hi Matt, nice to see a few more OMOI video's come out. It's typically a niche thing with Mizuno putters. I bought the No2, totally blacked out and I've had Scotty's Betti's and the like for years. This is easily as good if not better, Feel is amazing, no compromise there but you are getting a tech improvement in the shaft and grip and even more so in the weight kit customisation. You can even bang a 3 in the heel and a 13 in the toe to get a bit more flow. This to me adds that extra value. At £269 for what you are getting I think is very comparable and TBH a bit of a bargain. Same ole same ole though, Mizuno struggles with marketing on the putter front, and that takes years to embed, they have made great comparable putter for a few iterations. This is the best by far and if it stays in the bag at £269, money well spent but I totally get you view and I wouldn't be surprised if this is still a loss (break even) leader, this is a quality product with quality components. Just need the marketing to catch up and public perception to change :-). Well done Mizuno, top to bottom in the bag, every club is now a real competitor, an Iron ONLY company NO MORE. Hoe you change that perception is what you are doing on tour, more metal woods in bags etc. These could well follow, there is on compromise here and indeed some REAL advances.

The quality of this build is on par with Scotty Cameron putters. I compared a OMOI 3 to a Newport2 for 30 minutes and preferred the Mizuno which was $50 less and included two sets of alternative weights. This is not a $200 putter. I love my BLUE OMOI 3 and the performance is there.I adjust the weights based on green conditions and that is a major plus. Will it make putts for you? No you still need the skill set. For me the added weight/MOI helps get the ball rolling on my desired target line and the great feel of the putter helps with the pace. Its an upper tier putter worth the cash. IMO

Tested all the ones on the same price bracket and the OMOI 3 was the best. I have never had so much confidence. I am now the greatest putter man in my own mind.

I got the 03. Money isn’t value and value isn’t price. I found a putter that looked, felt and performed as I wanted….sold!!

I actually just picked up the omoi 3 in blue from a golf galaxy for $190. It was preowned but in perfect condition. I'm a god awful putter but when I can hit 3 out of 4 from about 10 feet away, it's going in the bag. I had no idea about this putter, I just tried out as many as I could and this one had the best results.

I think if you're playing Mizuno equipment to begin with, and you give the putter a fair test and get it fitted, the price wouldn't really be that off-putting for a brand you already know and trust. Especially when 40% of the strokes you play are with the putter. People don't bat an eye at £400 (conservatively) for a driver, but to me it makes a lot more sense to shell out on a well made, well fitted putter.

I tried all of them in a fitting against every other putter. I was fitted into the Mizuno M Craft VI. The big selling point was the weight. I need HEAVY heads to feel the stroke and the M Craft VI is SUPER heavy (371g out of the box, but I have the 13g weights in it so its 381g)

If it's the best putter you have tested, i don't see why the price is a problem. It's still cheaper than many brands. Got the O1 in satin, and it's a belter...

I have a Mizuno Bettinardi BC02 putter, and love it. It’s been with me for over 10 years and gives great feedback on all my strokes. Mizuno should promote their putters a lot more.

When I first saw the blue I thought to myself “there’s no way I’m buying this putter he can put this back” but after hitting it I absolutely fell in love with the feel AND the look. Looking down at the black shaft go into that crisp blue Mizuno color, I couldn’t put another cheaper one in my hand I had to buy it. So happy with it

I got fit for the 02 and have been loving it thus far! Definitely glad I made the purchase.

The last new putter I bought was the odyssey 2 ball blade 20 years ago and it’s still in my bag and I couldn’t swap it out.

You make a good point, Matthew, but there's also the issue of lack of advertising. I don't see or hear any ads for Mizuno clubs, much less their putters. I did see tons of ads for the L.A.B. Golf putters last year and bought one. Mizuno should lower the price, get pros to put them in their bags, or start a more effective ad campaign.

The price for good, and even decent, golf equipment has sky rocketed since COVID hit. I used to go into my local Golf Galaxy and they 3 or 4 racks of used single clubs and many used sets as well. Now they barely have anything and the prices for used equipment are near new prices. I watch you very often Matt and I don't know what you paid for your Evenroll but, you just put 4/5 through the gates and holed 3/5 puts with the Mizuno. You made 1/5 through the gates and holed 0/5 with the Evenroll. I applaud you for putting that out there but you have to consider there is some validity to the test.

Was between these and the Spider GT single bend, since Mizuno only offer the second blade style for lefties. Had to go with the Spider.

There is a material /labor/QC cost to all these putters which puts them in a certain price bracket so you won't see much price difference... but based on your putting results in this video, if that Mizuno was x2 the price of the ER you would still take that on the course.

A lil late to the party though having Played Mizzy irons since I put a set of TN-87 Protos in the bag while across the pond in Scotland in '87(I'm from the States🇺🇸), then I Played the TN-91's followed by the MP blades(14, 29, 33, 68, 69's, which I still bag) ever since, I am very familiar with the Mizzy quality and craftsmanship. That said, I have also bagged their putters, from Scotty's Mizzy Reason, of which 100 were produced, though Scotty kept #1 so 99 were released, the I bagged a Mizzy/Betty Tour honeycomb Anser and while I also rotate Sotty Circle⭕️ T's in with these still, these Mizzy putters are second to none, including any of my Scotties or other Tour line putters.

I currently have the baby blue OMOI #3 in the bag and it's worth every penny of that $349.95🤙

Just as the Mizzy MP irons are for serious Players, so to is the M.Craft OMOI Putter Collection for the serious Player. If one is influenced by the marketing garbage, then go buy a Scotty or God forbid, an Odyssey or TBag, lol.

However if one wants a truly amazing feeling putter, with typical Mizuno R&D behind its design, not some marketing bullsh!t that some Tour Boy chirps about cuz he's Paid to Play em, then they should give the OMOI a roll.

I've got putters that cost much much more than OMOI and they don't touch it, including three(3) L.A.B. putters, all three custom fit.

This is the finest retail putter that I've purchased in some time and well worth its price point.

Mizuno is Mizuno, just as Benz is Benz!!

While I believe that their pricing is superb for the technological design that went into this putter, with the emphasis on head weight and feel, a $349.95 Mizzy putter is not for everyone, just as a $1300+ set of Mizzy irons is not for everyone.

However, if you're serious about your putting, and I mean SERIOUS about your putting, and you can afford to drop $349.95 on a putter if you so desire, then you owe it to yourself to roll some with the OMOI🤙

Stay Well Brotha & Continued Success👊

I put a Copper Bereylium Y617 Mizuno from about 25 year ago in the bag for a comp. Cracked 90 for the first time. So many one putts. Mizuno are an undertrusted brand. (I suspect that mallet might be in your bag pretty soon Matt)
