Mick DID use EMG's in his early years with Ibanez (2003-2009) the first MTM1 sig's (2006-2009) in Red and Black were fitted with the 81 and 85, then from 2009/10 they were changed to his Seymour Blackout EMTY's until the end of production :)

I actually prefer Micks SD blackouts over fluence moderns I love both but Micks Blackouts have more life IMO and have an incredibley tight but chunky low end. Fluence moderns seem much smoother to me.

I hope he has a set that is just different from the rest. It is cool that he is with Fishman now but hearing how he has a set that is not just a rebrand of the moderns would be nice as well

Definitely agree about an Arrow/V signature ESP. I feel the MH/superstrat style is most likely but an Arrow/V shape would be cool. It's been weird seeing him play a les paul shape lately, just doesn't look right on him.

I’ve played a set of Fluence Moderns straight into Channel 3 of my Randall RG3003H head, and I’d argue it’s probably the closest I’ve ever even gotten to sounding anything remotely like Slipknot. Great pickups for what they are.

I do not like Active pickups :(((
I hope there will be no Fishman in his cheapest signature model, I can buy that one and put better passive pickups in that guitar. Would suck to buy an expensive guitar with Fishman in it and immediately switch them out for other better pickups when the Fishman's are so expensive.

I also hope he will have a Floyd rose style bridge in his signature guitar even if it has no trem arm you can always switch is out easier for another tremolo system, I did that with his Ibanez MTM1 and put a Schaller in it and switched out the EMG's for Dimarzios. Great guitar and had that perfect red color I love on a guitar.
