Watch a FPV drone crash right into the exploding lava fountain of Iceland's newest volcano - Fagradalsfjall in the Geldingadalir valley. This unique HD footage provides a rare view right into the volcano's caldera and lava fountain during one of its geysir-like eruptions.

FPV drones are notorious for crashing, it is part of the hobby. So in an effort to get a unique vantage point and perspective into the crater we flew this remarkably capable drone as close to the lava river and caldera as possible. One of it turned out to be it's very last flight. At least the goggles record a great 1080p image allowing us to actually capture the last seconds the drone saw.

Why is the quality of this video worse than the one you made about the crash the last time. Did you get the SD card back or did you edit it in D-Cinelike so it looks better?

if the drone went in the pool of lava how did you get the footage

It would overheat well before it got that close to the volcano

I’m more surprised it lasted that long and that the electronics didn’t overheat before it even crashed

thankfully for non-manned tech vehicles (the Non-combat designed ones speaking) these Days now....

He drove it right in lol. Ive seen some where a little lava ball shoots up and right in front of camera hits and tkaes thr drones out and this person drove theres right into a lava wall
