How To Build a Cruiser Style Skateboard

I’ve been having a ton of fun shredding around on my cruiser setup lately!

Sometimes I don’t always want to skate on hard street wheels, so being able to switch setups with ease is really awesome.

It’s really nice to have a chill setup honestly. Big shoutout to Qwik Truks for the Qlik System

Awesome! I fw this style so much. I used to skate park popsickles, got a globe cruiser and loved it. But I wanted something smaller and or more normal shape, now a have a heroin pop sickle deck w slime ball cruiser wheels. Love it

I love my cruiser board, I went with a hybrid style cruiser with 90a Powell bones wheels, 58mm they work great can run over almost any little crack even sometimes big ones depending how you go over them, I got a 9.3 deck, way bigger than normal boards but I got huge feet all around would suggest getting 2 boards one for cruising and one for tricks cause it makes things so much easier and fun, cause sometimes you just wanna cruise

A good mix of tricks and cruising I've found is 56-58mm wheels on normal mid sized trucks, and an 8.25. comfy and usable.

This really helped, I thought I was gonna have to drop another 150 on a cruiser Board, but it helps knowing I can just use my normal skateboard trucks, bearings, and board

I set one up and it’s great. Polar 9” shin sanbongi mountain deck, ace af1 trucks, bones rough riders 80A 59mm, bones reds bearings, and some riser pads. Can cruise around on rough asphalt and still kickflip, tre and do some grinds/slides

I've been following your content for quite a while, just wanted to say thanks for inspiring me to skate a lot more that I used to.
Keep it up, vato,
Greetings from México!

I bought a 8.25 WELCOME board about a year or so ago (they are known for making bigger and wider boards) and paired it with the old wheels from my longboard. Honestly one of the best decisions I've ever made considering most of the pavement in my town is rough.

i heard if you get a lot of wheel bite try adding two 1/2' raisers *also get bigger bolts* and will solve it

I have a cruiser set up that's similar. Its a 7.75 deck with 59 mm Pennyboard wheels with Red Bearings. It's great cruising and I can do a few tricks on it.

Another thing, to avoid wheelbite with the bigger wheels (wheelbite is deadlier with the higher speeds on cruiser setups) is to put some riser pads on. They're not very expensive but you might have to get longer hardware.

Though it's all worth it, since you'll be able to carve around without the fear of wheelbite stopping you in your tracks
