Built at Meyer and Neptun Shipyards in Germany and Meyer Turku in Finland, AIDAnova is the first of a new generation of LNG Powered Cruise Ships for Carnival Cruises - the Helios Class. The vessel is 337m Long and can house 6.600 passengers.

We filmed the entire construction process with our advanced MK V4 timelapse cameras, shooting 40mp images every single minute.

The music has been composed for this video by sound artist Harry Price:
"It's been awesome soundtracking this time-lapse with Max and the MK timelapse team. Not only are they true pros in their field, and the nicest guys, but they pretty much gave me a free reign to create something that would complement the magnificence of the AIDAnova and the incredible build visuals. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out - thanks guys!"

This is so much work... I can't even summon the motivation to clean my room.

The amount of engineering involved is just mind blowing.. Imagine just drawing up the blueprint, Let alone build it.

It's truly amazing what human beings are capable of when we actually cooperate.

This is probably one of the most spectacular cruise ship construction films that I have ever seen. The entire process of putting together a modern cruise ship of this size is beyond mind-boggling.

I built 747's for decades, thinking I was dwarfed by that. That ship is enormous and I am used to going up 50-70 feet to do my job. Impressive!!! Where do I apply for a job?

Never ever I question myself about cruiseship building. Never really thought about this sectioned build up. Wow. Thats massive. Talented hardworking people can achieve so much

This whole process amazes me. Especially after spending 7 years on cruise ships. I'm very grateful for this video.

2:35 how did they get the tug boat out? looks like that block is full width, did they lift it out with the crane?

Edit: Saw at 3:25 they did indeed lift the tug in and out, this whole build is so mindblowing :)

Mad that a ship engine is literally the same as a truck engine just about 9 billion times bigger

I can’t even comprehend the amount of work that went into this. Both in the video and behind the scenes.

It was looking like building a Lego ship but the real struggle done in this work is really hard🤩🤩❤
