We followed her development at the St. Nazaire construction site, a building ground for the world’s biggest vessels. There more than 2,500 men working day and night, using the latest technological developments to lessen the environmental impact.

I wouldn't think being on a ship that large would feel like you're on a cruise. It would be like being on land, in a huge hotel.

I went on a cruise only twice in my life. The first about 15 years ago, and the second just this year. The difference in technology is quite evident. I was very surprised that there was ZERO engine hum on the new ships. I did not even know we left the port until I walked out and saw the sea rushing by below

30 seconds in ‘weight of eighty thousand tons’. Sure hope he doesn’t mean the usual ship measurement of ‘gt’ which is closer to saying volume. I might wrong but had to nitpick. Excited to watch the rest though 😀.

Where could you put a solar array large enough? I think Hydrogen is the answer

The steel plates of the ship are welded NOT soldered! OOPS!
Also any vessel that exceds 100 feet or 30.48 meters is called a ship. Earlier in the video he called it a boat and later a ship.
It's not hard to critique the video when the description is so bad.

If it takes six million hours of work to complete, that means the ship will be ready in 685 years

I think he means six million worker hours

Yanno what, $100 per hour of design construction and materials isn't bad. I actually thought it'd cost around 1.2billion.

Good documentary, but I wish they dubbed instead of using subtitles.
Also, it's a bit old. The Meraviglia entered service in June 2017, 5 years earlier than this videos upload date.
