3000 Miles Across Australia in 89 Days! // Ep.8 Unicycling Across Australia
Показать описание
This video outlines the massive problem in Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp:
While of course attempting to circumnavigate the globe by unicycle is my own personal goal and way of experiencing the world, there's also a more serious side to my trip. Before set off I reached out to the Piers Simon Appeal, a local charity, that runs an initiative called ‘School in a Bag’, offering to raise funds for them as I slowly wobble my way across 4 continents.
The basic idea of School in a Bag is to provide educational aid, if the form of school bags (rucksacks packed full with pens, pencils, exercise books, eating utensils, maths sets etc.), and send them out to children around the world that don’t have access to these basic learning tools.
Recently SIAB have set up a new appeal to help refugee children in northern Uganda. They’ve also decided to use £5000 of money that’s been raised though my page to kickstart this appeal.
Note from School in a Bag: “The need to support children in Bidi Bidi is massive so we are just looking at ways in which we can make our appeal as successful as possible. The team decided that by having a decent amount of money on the page when it was launched would encourage others to contribute towards it.”
