He doesn't refuse, he literally is not able to cuz Deadpool is random and unpredictable. Taskmaster in the comics explains this

There was an early Deadpool comic where Taskmaster came up against Wade. The fight in that comic included breakdancing, moonwalking, and other dance moves that had no correlation to combat. The chaos that Deadpool is capable of infusing into his fighting style is anathema to Taskmaster's photographic reflexes.

Not only is he unpredictable... He uses his healing factor as a crutch to close the gap or create an opening. thats something taskmaster cant do.

Before finishing, my guess is because Deadpool as no sense of preservation. He will accept getting shot, stabbed, punched, fucked, and bloodied in combat, because he can deal with, but not someone like task master.

The real comic Taskmaster is a pragmatist. He is in it for the money. He came to the brilliant conclusion of instead of fighting supers, instead charge money to teach people to fight supers.

Taskmaster has been shown to be a brutal, but skilled teacher.

While he does jobs when the teaching gig is not making ends meet, he prefers to be more a teacher than a combatant.


If the X-men were not such purists, they would have hired Taskmaster years ago as either a teacher, or security.

After Dark Reign, Taskmaster realized he did not want to sit at the big table, all he wanted was an interesting job with a nice, steady paycheck.

On the MCU, it would be easy to have it revealed the female Taskmaster was actually one the real Taskmaster's students.

The Arrowverse did something similar with Deathstroke, and pulled off Deathstroke very nicely.

Well, Deadpool's head is one of the MOST chaotic thing ever in Marvel universe. Professor X went bonker when he tried to peek into DP's mind. Don't forget that he's so unpredictable that DP suddenly breakdancing when fighting Taskmaster.

Not chaotic enough? Thanos lost his mind when DP tried to woo personification of the death.

More? Loki cursed DP so his face transformed to Tom Cruise's face. DP had a blast with it, Loki said screw it and take back the curse. Let me remind you, the freakin' Loki basically said "Screw this, ain't gonna entertain this lunatic mofo."

Taskmaster isn't undying, Deadpool fights fully aware and fully abusing his undeath. It's incompatible with a living hero/villain.

I find it interesting to note that Deadpool (in the Ryan Reynolds movies) struggles most with fighting in highly enclosed spaces. This is highlighted in the fight in car in Deadpool & Wolverine. You can also see his style revolves more about out-maneuvering and quickly taking out his opponents with his weapons on hand rather than getting into an in-your-face brawl

Also have to keep in mind that before he became deadpool he was the merc with a mouth and had a fighting style that didn't include being to careless with his own body and also had superhuman reflexes, like being able to cut bullets out of the air with his swords. It's just that when he got his regenerative powers he kind of just let all of his defensive skill go and focused only on the offensive ones.

If taskmaster had been able to copy him before he became deadpool, then likely wouldn't have had an issue copying him.

You should do Spiderman and Cap next. Cap has studied Spiderman techniques to learn his "Moves" but could not figure it out for a long time. Until he finally saw that Spiderman has no "Moves". His style is one continues movement in a fight. Spidey seamlessly moves through a fight like a continues dance.

Without knowing I would guess it’s because Deadpool doesn’t care about protecting himself because immortality so someone mimicking his fight style would out themselves in danger

Well one thing about deadpools fighting style is it takes into account his healing factor alot. That is something TM can't mimic but I could be mistaken.
