I loved the pace of this, since I am comfortable with JavaScript but still need to clarify little details and procedures once in a while. Kind of like a "refresher", and I think it is fantastic that some one finally thought to do something like this. Of course I hope you will continue to do your regular pace tutorials for the benefit of others who are still struggling with basics but I wanted to say that for me personally i kind of enjoyed and appreciated the "refresher pace"

Please do more of these. As a semi-pro programmer who already has a couple of years experience with other languages, this is by far the easiest way to pick up the foundations of a new language. I am not very advanced with JS and haven't used it much outside of course projects, but thanks to this video I now feel perfectly confident using the language again.

I liked this one a lot Derek. Most other tutorials tend to treat you as if you're an absolute beginner, whereas this one expects you to have at least a few functional brain cells. Instead of spending 30 minutes explaining what a variable was, you showed us how they can be used in JS while expecting us to be clever enough to understand what they were. You deserve every single view you get my friend. Do you take donations?

PHP developer here. I've been finding it's getting harder and harder to ignore JavaScript (with the emergence of jQuery and angularJS, for example) so this video was my first step toward learning some JS fundamentals. It's exactly what I was looking for! You clearly and concisely communicated the fundamentals of the language, and I've learned that the structures and syntax are pretty similar to PHP. I don't know why I've avoided it for so long! Many thanks :)

Derek, these one-video tutorials are the best. They are more engaging than the run of the mill chaptered web-based tutorials with just as much information. I've had to learn 3 languages for work in the last month (Ruby, Python, JavaScript) and the ones that I used your video's for (Python and JavaScript) were definitely the easiest and most enjoyable.
