My complete Goodwin setup is a touch quieter, but I'm running the cat mid-pipe. My wife still announces her arrival home by revving the motor though. She enjoys the sound especially with the top down.

Few people have said it already, I’ll say it again. A renesis NC would be crazy. Lightweight high-revving, better weight distribution.

NC is the best Miata 💯 I'm on my third NC2 PRHT, really love them. Current 2011 SE has Goodwin header, FM midpipe and axle back (been discontinued for a while). It's like a quieter version of the one you put on this car, and if give you the pops and stuff. Fab9 N1 tune, coilovers... Thinking about putting a turbo on it this winter.

Very nice! I just put in the Good-Win Racing street header with cat two weekes ago. Now I have that with the stock midpipe and GWR Super Q exhaust as well. I'll probably look for suspension next since sound is in a spot were I am happy.

Thanks for making this video. I have a Goodwin Max Power 1.8 header and the Helmholz midpipe that I will be installing soon. I already have the Super Q muffler on it.

You should have spent $200 to get the header ceramic coated by Jet Hot. I did that with mine, and it’s supposed to reduce heat radiation by over 50%. Plus the eye candy factor! It’s a shame to cover it up with the stock heat shields, so I’m going to consider some options so that the ceramic coated header is visible from the open hood.

Your video encouraged me to swap my header to the hooker header. I followed the hooker instruction and watched you guys video for visual during my install. Did you guys also get a check engine light for P0031?

DIRECT BOLT IN RENESIS SWAP IT. Then both cars can be directly compared to each other on a level playing field. Call it project fire fart when you do it.

How hard was the install? Did you need to unbolt the engine mount, or was it just as easy to re-install as to remove the OEM header?

What about an rx8 engine in the nc? They are the same plateform, so maybe it wouldnt be so bad. Be nice to keep it all mazda.

I'm completing a built k24 swap in a 2011 NC this summer. I'd love to bring it to CT for some back to back testing and opinion video. Road trip! Love the content and maintaining motivation for projects. That being said...big turbo supra???
