I've read that "BLEACH" was the Tracy album. "NEVERMIND" is the Tobi V. Album, and "In Urero" is the Courtney album. There seemingly were a number of songs on Nevermind that support this being inspired by Tobi V., while Heart Shaped Box certainly is about CL. There are others that make CL references too.
Kurt liked to contradict himself a lot. Here he seems to praise nevermind and Butch. He would later claim he hated it's slick production. It was a breath of fresh air at the time of release. The songs still hold up. I'd be interested in hearing a version of Nevermind with some (most) of the reverb/ compression removed, if possible. Nirvana arrived as the right band with the right album at the right time. If you were a teenager at the time of it's release you felt the impact. If you weren't there, you probably can't imagine the overnight, absolute unrelenting power it had on western culture, especially in the U.S. It lingers to this day, obviously. Too bad they weren't able to express their full potential with a more expansive discography.
