Easiest Way to Grow Sugarcane

Показать описание
The easiest way to grow sugarcane is to first start sugarcane in water. Best time to plant sugarcane is in February. Sugarcane takes 11 months to harvest, so this way you can get a head start in growing sugarcane. You can also directly plant sugarcane in ground as well if temperature in your region gets above 70F in February. However if the day time temperature stays below 70F in Feb and March, it is best to first start sugarcane in water and when temperature reaches above 70F during the day, transplant the newly rooted sugarcane cutting in the ground. Add a lot of compost to loose well drained soil and plant sugarcane in clusters for a great harvest!

Great information. I planted a few around 5 months ago and they're doing ok. Wish I had watched your video first. I plan to plant more this year. I have a serious question: How can people give a thumbs down? I must have missed the video they did.

1. Generally you don't want to submerge the node that you want the shoots coming out of. The shoot can 'drown'. It's best to have at least 2 nodes, and one node submerged. 2. Always plant it laying down. (I guess it doesn't matter much if you have only one node)
