You probably know this by now, but it is not A-pa-SHAY as a French speaker might pronounce it. it is a-PATCH-ee. it is a server that you can apply changes to, that is, you can 'patch' it. Thus it has the attribute of "patchiness" - it is a patchy server. Since 'a-PATCH-ee' is a synonym of the common name of the Native American "Apache" tribe in the southwest of the United States, the founders named it after them. This is why the Apache server icon has the Eagle Feather in it, as the eagle is sacred to many of the First Peoples of North America.

But will this same technique really work on:
1) A remote server machine using Apache;
2) A remote server machine using Apache for HTTP(S) requests and cPanel to deploy applications, including Node.js apps.

i did that on my server, but it didnt work, it shows this "Internal Server Error" when i tried to access with the proxy pass

why run npm start on terminal then use apache. Is there a way to use apache without running npm start or node app on terminal

it seems you've got your self a bit mixed up, your nodejs app is running on.. well.. nodejs -- not apache. You are simply redirecting.

Nonetheless, great tutorial, easy to follow and straight forward. No random interruptions during the tutorial, keep it up!

Take that back it only works for that URL so when you go into a different page it don't work
