47cc Two Stroke - DC Alternator Generator: Concept

You need a 4 stroke engine if your planning to run your generator for extended periods of time. Two stokes do not get adequate bottom end lubrication when run for extended periods of time at a steady rpm. They need that revving and dropping off of rpm to pull the fuel and oil mix through the crankcase to oil themselves. You will not see maximum 2 stoke engine life in this kind of application. Four strokes are perfectly happy running at steady rpms for hours, even days, as long as they can stay cool, have an adequate supply of oil, and are positioned level enough to distribute oil throughout the engine.

Your just adding the battery voltage into the line, not a good idea ! What will work, however, is putting a 6 or 8 in pulley on the motor with a 2 in pulley on the alt. This will raise the rpm up at the alt. for full production and full production of the amps from the atl. Most alts. need about 3000 rpm or above to function properly. This will allow the charging of any car battery in only an hour or so. Then you can put a power converter that converts dc to ac current on the output of the alt. to power any ac device under about 7 amps. The problem most creators of these type of generators have is that they don't use 6 to 8 in pulleys on the motor or make sure the pulley on the alt. is 3 in or less. The math us simple. 2000 rpm with a 8 in pulley on the motor and a 2 in pulley on the alt. eqauls a 4 to one ratio which translates into 4000 rpm at the alternator. Plenty to get all the potential power output out of the alt .

You have the alternator turning the wrong way. Plus if you would put a larger diameter pulley on the engine like the Chevrolet has 7" crank and 2 1/2" alternator pulley you would be turning it fast enough to put out some serious amperage like the Chevrolet does. You would need about 4 horsepower engine. I did this in 1991 on the rear deck of my houseboat as way to charge my batteries incase they went dead and I couldn't start the boat engine. It was a big help on many occasions. Once I ran jumper cables to another boat and let it run all day to charge their battery. Less than one gallon of gas to run all day.

Great job. Try putting a much larger pulley on the 2 cycle. It can then run at idle and charge the battery.

Congratulations. You made a generator that is twice as loud as anything else! Plus, once you put a real load on it, it will kill the engine. Rule of thumb is 1 horsepower for every 25 amps.

Bro good idea 💡 so why you not use big gear on engine side so you get more voltage is possible because you using engine and also you add more alternator like 3 or 4 then you can get more electricity and usefull hole hause 👌🥰

Good idea, if you get enough rpms. Check the rpm range needed for the alt..

a flywheel, larger pulley, to make your engine run at lower speed.. employ a voltage step-converter for better efficiency.

A invenção foi boa so que estas baterias sao de 6v cada e muito pouca amperagem so o alternador consome 3.5A dempendo do modelo e fabricação
Vc poderia colicar uma polia de 130 no motor e uma de 50no gerador uma bareria de pelo menos 35Ah dai o gasto com a gasolina ⛽ ia te render alguma coisa

U do know if you use a gm one wire alternator you wouldn't even have to have a battery for a ignitor.
