Buster Keaton was a flippin legend, man. Writing, Directing, Editing, Producing, Acting (including all his own stunts and even a few other peoples'), he did it all. The wall falling around him is his most famous stunt (the wall was 200 lbs and the window only gave him 2 in of leeway on all sides), but it's just the tip of the iceberg. Every silent film he directed and starred in ("The General, " "Sherlock Jr., " "The Present Age, " to name just a few) he pulls off boatloads of death-defying stunts to make you gasp and laugh all at once. My favorite was in "Seven Chances" when he launches himself headfirst down a mountain, leaping and flipping the whole way down in the most grandiose prat fall I've ever seen. Face of stone, guts of steel.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a Stunt man. No dis intended to the actors mentioned here; Mad Props top you all. But all Stunt People are also 'Real actors'. They prepare, rehearse, study and act, just like any paid professional. I love an awesome stunt.
