I accidentally took off one of my ASUS laptop keys and It came out in three sections, the ring thingy was not connected w the other thingy . I’m not sure if I connected those two components together because now my key won’t go into its place and the hooks won’t lock in

For keycaps, it seems the plastic hooks are pretty fragile. Is it worth using a bit of oil to lubricate them before reattaching them to the retainer?
