Thank you. Your technique of opening the FOB on the side - which I didn't see on any other video - was crucial to my success. No matter what I did with the small silver tab it didn't budge, but a small flathead screwdriver on the side worked perfectly.

Omg thank you!!!! I went straight to auto zone to buy. Got an energizer 2032 and it fit & works perfect for my Subaru Crosstrek key fob! Had to show the employee how to open it tho 😅

Thanks for the Video...Was trying to confirm the procedure for my own XV. I used to change batteries like these for all Car makes when I owned my own Pharmacy. The batteries were really cheap and I installed them free for my customers...This avoided them paying HEAPS more from the Dealers...especially for the Top end Cars,

Thanks for this video. The pricks at the stealer told my wife it had to be programmed after changing the battery. She fell for it and paid some ridiculous amount to have the battery replaced. Since I have two FOBs, I'll do the other myself. Thanks again!
