This is one of the coolest discoveries I’ve seen you talk about to date

I love how effortlessly you walk through these high level concepts and discoveries thanks Anton

Anton you fit the definition of
"A strange star" absolutely beautifully

It sounds like your saying that strange matter doesn't age, at least not once stabilized in "soup" form. I can't wait someday to understand how it all connects- and I do mean all of everything. That would be cool. Thanks Anton.

just want to quickly say thank you for your dedication to bringing us wonderful and inspiring science news almost every single day. Even if it was just once in a while, your videos usually make me stop and think for a while and remember that i should be grateful for everything that i have and i usually start to calm down and return to a peaceful and hopefull state of mind. So you make a difference in my life--thanks

Just when we thought things couldn't get any stranger, you do this to us.

Recent calculations show that in the random distribution of energies inside an ordinary unexcited atomic nucleus, the 's' quark manifests a few percentage of the time due to the random function in energies inside nucleons and a process similar to the way electrons tunnel.

Like youre content here man. A lot of other astronomy channels practice sensationalism to generate more clicks. U tell it like it is and dont mislead anybody. Great work sir.

My previous assumption about how they would detect a strange star was that it would've been in on the upper end of neutron star masses, never ever thought of it being on the lower end or even lower than the lowest end!

I think given that objects such as this, alongside other objects with unexplainable mass ranges such as solar mass and super-massive black holes is a clear indication that our understanding of stellar formation and the processes of supernovae are limited at best. Strange stars are really weird and having a potential one so close at only 8k ly is amazing given the potential rarity of these things. Great video as always, Anton x

makes me glad that we are in a quiet solar system, in a quiet part of a quiet galaxy in a quiet area of the universe.

Hello beautiful wonderful person ! Your explorations of astronomical phenomena are really fascinating. Thanks for the channel.

Interesting is also the distance, ~8K lightyears isnt really much, nearly the neighborhood of us. So I'd assume we either got ultra lucky or these are much more common than you'd expect

Wonderful as always anton. Thank you. 😊👍

I thought strange matter would be extremely dangerous. That normal matter coming into contact with strange matter converts into strange matter itself. A chain reaction.
