AMD will keep maintaining GCN for compute heavy worloads & accelerators while RDNA would be used in consumer side of need. Tremendous.

The fact that Nvidia is already about to release better RTX cards proves that they sandbag their lineup and scoop peoples money when they could have easily made something better. Intel did that for years and look where it got them. Keep it up AMD!

I bought a RX590 back in Feb, so unlike most I am not in a hurry for this Navi thing to release and supersede my card before i get my money's worth out of it.

Impressed with AMD though. Competing with two behemoths in GPU and CPU and AMD manages to give a very good account of itself even though it is a smaller company. I like that.

I also like bang for buck and value when choosing parts for a given budget, which is what a 2700x and RX590 gave me when i got them. An i5 8600 and a 6gb GTX 1060 was the alternative at the time. It was not a hard choice. The 2700x lets me do a lot more with my DAW software than the 2500k it replaced.

I do think AMD needs to also hold the high ground though. It brings prestige. People looked at the 1080ti they couldn't afford and saw it is fastest, so bought the 1050ti thinking that will also be the fastest in its price bracket. RX570 did not get noticed until more recently due to mostly that I think, even though it can pump out quite a few more pixels.

p.s. AMD GPU, CPU and mobo, yet somehow managed to not get any free games. The offer always finished before I bought. I only play Fallout 4 anyway, so whatever.

I waiting SO LONG, for save money and upgrade my PC, from A10-5800K to Ryzen 5 2600.... andd all the poeple said, " well, that a lot of faith to stay at AMD..."

well, just for a fact... my PC when using A10-5800K already receive Windows 10 free upgrade, among of all my friends which is using intel and keep waiting and waiting for the upgrade...
somehow I feel good to stay in AMD lane for this long... already fanboy since athlon, stay on AMD Graphic for my notebook, amd build my first PC using AMD. man, what a journey... and now, can't wait for RDNA Radeon card emerge...
