They are both reasonably priced for what each offers. The SONY, however has the huge advantage of the open E-Mount with hundreds of options for lenses. Canon's RF-Mount is closed to 3rd party lens manufacturers, and Canon's lens options are limited, especially for APS-C.

For photography, i will go for sure Canon R7, For Hybrid shooter A6700 great

Disappointing comparison: picture and video quality, the most important thing, is missing. Just comparing the number of pixels can be misleading

I went with the R7 for photography and got a great deal but if I needed 4k120 I wouldn't hesitate for the A6700

Thank God Best buy didn't have Sony 6700 with only 1 card slot no weather sealing no joystick and only 11fps in stock and I got the Canon R7 and it has 32mp sensor 2 card slots weather seal plus 15 or 30 fps plus joystick and unreal eye detect auto focus can go out in any weather or to any country makes it truly perfect for me
With the 16mm 2.8 almost pancake lens is perfect for light weight vlogging with this R7. oh and if your at the beach you can simply rinse the sand off when done.

33MP for a 1.6x crop sensor is to much pixel dense for regular lenses and high ISOs. If you already have a FF R body and high resolution RF lenses, sounds good for a second compact body with extra reach.

Yeah but the colors on canon are great even with the EF lenses... im picking up a canon r7 😁

Canon of course, better colours, easier no need heavy editing while on an event with thousands of photos
