I watched this *so many times* when I was rerolling.

I like to think this is one of the timelines Madoka was in becoming a vessel to save a magical girl. That's why she looked so confused. Because she already had a soul gem, but all of a sudden, she's becoming a symbol of hope, a duty she will embrace fully, as shown at 0:17.

No one will read this but I feel the need to unpack this video because it is filled with so much symbolism and I love it so much.

So first we see madoka looking around confused for her soul gem and I like to imagine that she's either currently confused about why she is seperate from it (since her soul gem is never seperate from her as a godess) or that this madoka is meant to represent how she was at the beginning, confused and in awe of what is technically her destiny.

Then we see behind her a bunch of magical girls and I believe this represents madoka responsibilty to look after all of them as a goddess (their lives are in her hands).
She falls and this could represent her having no control over her fate of her choice to follow the same path as a magical girl regardless of the timeline.

Then for a glimpse we see Homura, who is an integral part of her. She is the cause of her massive power and her dearest friend. She is the catalyst (by connecting each timeline together) that starts the transformation. She is in despair in the image because Madoka is once again transforming (something she wants to prevent).

Next, Madoka is in a liquid being stired with multiple versions of herself floating in the back which I believe represents her combining with all versions of herself (mixing them together) and I would like to imagine she is being stirred by Kyubeys magic (granting her wish) or her goddess form (combining herself together).

In the next scene we see the combination of all the stiring, Madoka's goddess form coming towards her.
Madoka sees this and welcomes her fate with open arms as it was her choice to combine to make her.

Finally we see Madoka either as her true from as a goddess for a split second or the age she would be if she stayed on earth (so an adult) before she is re established as her original character design (I personally believe all magical girls age back to when they made the contract with kyubey).
Another theory is this transformation was the godess madoka going back to human form and the madoka we see is just one of the many going through it at the same time to make this form. (Hence all the madokas around the goddess and her being in the forefront and end).

Anyway, regardless of whether my interpretation is correct I really love this transformation and the series. Can't wait for the new movie!!💗
