SERVICE -- 👍 good
Check-in flow was smooth & took less than 3 minutes; kudos for Tap payment support.
The receptionists are warm & welcoming; leagues friendlier than the staff in Boyd Gaming hotels. Same goes for housekeeping staff & valet.
Phone service was hit-or-miss, trilling for 5m on occasion.
Complimentary late-checkout is 1hr, anything after that will cost $$.
MVP employees: Staff @ Commons restaurant; more personality than the other businesses. ❤

TRANSITIONS -- 👍 Flashy & powerful, sans the comically heavy doors.
Huge hallways, fast elevators (keycard required), & great color psychology.
Ventilation could be better wrt smoking, but this is more the status quo.

Contemporary in a refreshing & functional way, with dimensions comfortably spacious for 2+.
This chamber looked clean, FELT clean, & had a great aroma on the initial walkthrough.
Lighting was superb from the balcony (bugs tend to enter in and never leave so mind the opening).
Tabletop space & seating were adequate, I just hated the ergonomics.
The seating wasn't comfortable nor the best choice of textures.

BED -- 👍 good
I loved the irregular design.
Functionally it slept great: cozy sheets, BIG pillows, & a predominantly soft mattress profile.
Quality control could be better on the (stained) linens.

BATH -- 👍 great
Gorgeous design with textures & tile patterns that really stand out.
The shower experience was also a winner, equipped with the best hand showers I've used all year.
It's a bummer that this installation doesn't allow using the overhead water simultaneously.
Bath products provided felt lux & indulgent: sufficiently moisturizing, quick leather, a natural scent, & aesthetically pleasing.
Lack of a bath robe was surprising...💔.
Towels were more than sufficient though: clean, fluffy, & absorbent.

TV/ENTERTAINMENT -- 👍 great
No shortage of entertainment or convenience.
The TV solution is dense with features, built for ordering food, streaming, & everything in-between!
Picture quality was great when the cable wasn't glitching. Audio was poor in contrast (esp. w/dance club hits blaring outside the window).
Speaking of the pool -- AMAZING -- it's worth renting a cabana IMO.
The casino-floor is predominately slots, which is great if you're into that. Some are even themed with puppies🐶.
Table games on the other hand, are skimp; only 1/2 were even setup...

WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- 👍 great
Satisfactory WiFi & wireless infrastructure.
Whether you're here for a conference or vacation, it'll get the job done.
A business center is also buried in the back if in need of a desktop.
--Performance--
Video streaming - Great
Online gaming - Great
Video chatting - Great
--Nerd Stats--
14-100 Mbps download
9-61 Mbps upload
0% packet loss
10 ms latency
1 ms jitter

FOOD & DRINK -- 👍 ok
Not DoorDash friendly.
The mini-bar/fridge situation was ridiculous & impractical. It's motion-sensitive, requiring a $40 fee to "professionally empty". Most hotels simply send a separate fridge up, so this is extra strange for a contemporary hotel. They're at least kind enough to provide 2 complimentary waters.
In-room dining options & on-site restaurants are plentiful. I won't bother listing them here, but you can rest easy knowing EVERY incarnation of coffee chain is on-site ☕.
If you have food allergies, you're SOL. Menus & mobile ordering lack nutrition info; substituting fried sides for an allergen-free side salad, will also result in an up-charge 👎.
in-room:
❌ microwave
❌ coffee
❌ tea
❌ wet-bar
✅ mini-bar

NOISE -- 👎 poor
For an off-strip property, it wasn't quiet.
I highly discourage the pool/"strip" view if you're hoping to get any significant amount of sleep.

LOCATION -- -- 👍
Security presence felt safe.
It's an 8-10m drive to the strip & a dedicated ride share area is setup a few yards from the main entrance. This will be your primary transportation pattern.
It's 30-40m walk to the Venetian for comparison but I wouldn't recommend it due to 110 degree temperatures recently.

RATING & REC
Price: $128.37/night
Was it worth it: yes
Best part: the Chambers~
If you enjoy slot machines, pool parties, & good food-- this is the one!
The resort fees & lack of table games are the biggest drawbacks.
Room rates can be competitive (<50) when prices aren't surging so I could see myself staying here again (whether or not Drip Pricing+Resort fees become outlawed).
4/5 ⭐

GOOD JOB ON THE DESCRIPTION AND VIDEO. PRICES ARE NUTS ON STRIP. MIGHT STAY HERE. DO NOT LIKE PPL COMPLAINING ABOUT AIRPLANE NOISE AND THE FRIG. HOPEFULLY THE STRIKE IS OVER SOON.
