The game looks amazing on both.  Im surprised at how great the PS3 version looks compared to the PS4 version.  the only difference is that the PS3 version is a little more blurry but its still just as playable as the PS4 version.  Framerate is a little worse on the PS3 version but thats to be expected but its still smooth

Kojima Productions really know what they're doing, putting some next-gen rendering techniques in such a dated system and making the game playable is such a great work. it might not have the best textures for a PS3 game but all round the game looks gorgeous even when ran in such a old system

I own both GZ and TPP on PS3, having beat them both on PC, and....other than some lighting effects and a little popup, i can barely tell the difference! They play and look AMAZING on PS3, almost unbelievably so. The Fox engine really, REALLY, brings out the max potential of the PS3. Sadly, side-by-side comparison videos on youtube somehow make the PS3 versions look drab, blurry and choppy, and make people think they're unplayable messes, when it REALLY is nothing of the kind. In fact, I think the opportunity of playing it with a gamepad, and just how WELL optimized everything is, is slowly turning the PS3 version into my favorite.
Really, MAD respect for PS3.

I couldn't believe my eyes how ps3 could run this game so smoothly and with such an incredible high detail. Phantom Pains should look just as nice on the ps3, but not so much detail like the ps4. Preordered it for the ps3 because no way that I'm buying the ps4 just for 3 games that interest me. Maybe in 2 years. For now my money is deposited when ps4 will have a good media player and have at least 15 games that I want .

Despite all of the things I have heard about the PS4, I don't exactly see much of a difference except for touch ups and stuff.  I have Ground Zeroes on the PS3 and the graphics looked pretty damn rad to me.  I don't even know if it is even worth buying the PS4 if the games come for the PS3.  What do you think?

Apparently 50% of commenters don't know what SLOW MOTION LOOKS LIKE. The PS3 version runs at solid 30fps, which looks fine. It looks jagged because it's running at like 20% speed.

I gotta congratulate Kojima Productions for making GZ on PS3 run very smoothly (not 60FPS smooth, but still smooth) while also looking great. The only minor annoyances I have are the foliage draw distance and some aliasing issues.

Can't wait for The Phantom Pain.

If the clouds and sky in the ps4 version are dynamic how come I've never seen anything but a solid blue sky? Do clouds ever roll through? My friend has the PS4 version and he says he's never seen anything but a solid blue sky either.

For all those questioning the framerate in order to make an accurate depiction of the better framerate for PS4 he slowed down the ps3 version to show the difference. Very clever.

Everyone can agree that the PS4 version is better in every way, but the ps3 versions of GZ and PP are amazing considering the hardware. Extremely playable and uncut.

4:34 ps3 got clouds and the ps4 version don't LOL! I was actually expecting a huge difference between the both consoles, but there isn't really much except for the frame rate but when the ps3 version is at full speed you wouldn't really notice it.

To everyone saying there's no difference in quality. Yes, there is. Not a major one, but there is. Mainly its all about the visuals being more advanced on the ps4. The lighting is of course better on next gen, the textures are updated and smooth, not blotched and blurry. Look at the face comparison for the easiest to spot textures. And of course, since it is slowed down, you can clearly tell there are less frames shown in the ps3, and the render distance isn't as good. Simple as that. Both have great performance, just the ps4 is the obvious superior.
