Definitely not a linux limitation. Its a developer choice to not make anti cheat work on multiple OS

I like the idea of Steam big picture mode with Windows 11, so I can play any game I want as well as still having a clean UI

Whether the partition is on the internal drive or an SD card, get used to using the volume down key on boot.

I just hate the fact that they dont have windows drivers for the wifi, bluetooth and audio on the OLED model yet. You can still use a dongle which is nice, but i would like to use the in system hardware for little stuff like that

I just pulled the trigger and installed windows alone to My Steam Deck. I was dual booting with an SD card for awhile, but Windows running off the M.2 SSD is pretty amazing.

I wish the devs make the anticheat work on Linux 😭

From personal experience Windows does not like bring dual booted. It will constantly attempt to delete the Linux bootloader or reformat the Linux partition. I personally don't recommend.

I was about to sell my deck and get a rog ally but i went full windows 11 on it and now im so damn happy. Just hope they fix it so i dont have to use gossi

I've done that and starfield on games pass pc and deck runs well

F.Y.I to anyone, the processing that he doesn't talk about may take a couple hours to complete. So make sure you have things you can do to occupy your time while it does install windows.

I have windows 11 installed on my steam deck, but im actually going to switch back to SteamOs, because windows takes up way to much space, and still a lot of issues with driver support!

But I might upgrade to a 1tb or 2tb internal ssd and then dual boot, but right now with only 256gb its really not enough space!

Is there a way to be able to run windows through Linux? Because I don't want to fully install it and have it be my main OS on my Deck, but I would love to play Fall Guys on my Deck and that's only possible with Windows.

Is it MANDATORY to do a partition if you're going dual boot?
