I got reserved my deck within seconds of it relasing, got it super early, and just the other day i permanently installed windows on it. I gotta say, Valve has drivers and stuff that make it work flawlessly with windows, and even feature lile your Game Suspend WORKS... You hit the power button and it suspends your game untill you turn it back on. I hate windows, but the fact every game i could image playing just works on windows and not always linux, not having to jump through hoops to get the games to run correctly, or face issues, etc made me switch.

I stripped my windows down to nothing hsing WinAeroTweaker to speed it up and get rid of microsofts bloatware,

But now it just plays games great, I havent noticed any proformance difference, i jusy mainly use BigPicture mode witch mimics the steam decks factory layout

I think im gonna keep windows on it, mods are easier to install and use, cheat engine, etc

And it now plays games like Fortnite that have AntiCheat, epic games doesnt allow Fortnite to work on linux, but it runs great on my deck!

Welp the more I learn about this machine the more it makes me wanna save up to buy it. Especially when its a fully functional mid tier gaming laptop for $399

Just bought the oled thinking i could dual boot windows into it in a snap so i can make it as a gaming+videoediting when im out. Didnt know they havent done all the windows drivers for oled yet. Oh well. Fully gaming for now.
