My husband found me on Christian Mingle. We talked on the phone one time about what we believe, church, worship. All our foundation beliefs, what we stand on, etc. After that 3 hour phone call, He took me to get breakfast, to a museum, and to dinner. My husband knew on the 1st date he wanted to marry me. It took me a little longer. We got married in the pastors office 3 months later (after premarital counseling of course). Then because my father wanted to walk me down the isle. We had a wedding 5 month later. All this happen in 2017. God is so good.

And women we must stop saying, how are we going to find a husband? God did not intend us to find him. That man will find us when the time us right. In the meantime you focus on the purpose and will that God have for you. Focus on seeking therapy/counseling. So that you can heal. Start a new career, travel if you are able to, read books, learn how to play an instrument, start a new career, and so on and so forth. There is a time and season for everything.

I met my husband serving in a homeless ministry, we served together 9 months before we went on a date & even then we really didn't call it a date. But 6 months later we were engaged & married 3 months after that. May 2 will be 5 yrs, God is good!!

Stay in prayer while being content & single & patiently wait on GOD for him. Women ARE NOT to look for a man. Prov 18:22, when a man finds a wife etc. We as believers know this. GOD knows when you're ready & HIS timing is Best. GOD BLESS

I think this is just so good! I always tell ladies: focus on the calling on your life so God can develop you not just for His mission in your life but also so you can be equipped to assist your partner. When its time the right man will find you: the how is not up to you God will do it. Also love how Heather described submission-getting under the right man's mission-love it!

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. Amen. If God was able to bring two people together before television, telephones, dating sites, the internet, and so on and so forth. He can still unite/connect us to one that He have for us in His time. We have to work on being patient and presentable. When I say presentable, I'm not just saying in our physical appearance. We must let God continue to work on our soul and spirit in Jesus name. Amen.

I am christian but this talk is rubbing me the wrong way. It’s not that simple and it’s not the same “recipe” for everyone. Some do all the “right” things and it just doesn’t happen. You should have included someone like Lisa Harper to give your talk more variety and depth.

Long story short my cousin suggested to try POF, (I don’t do online dating but gave it try), only gave 24hours on app. Last 30mins. A gentleMAN challenged me (vice versa) ... 1year later. Joyfully married! Ps. Born and raised Pastors daughter in loving Christian (born again) home. God is so good!

I’m 61! And have asked GOD forever for my Boaz. At some point frustration sets in. Faith is knowing that has provided. A posture of waiting and staying busy in GOD will keep me steady until GOD sends my mate to me.

I've been praying for a wife since I was 15 years old. I've read many Christian books about relationship and was always involved in church. Now I am 57, still single and with no friends. Because my family was not Christian, I always prayed for a woman that had a good Christian family that could embrace me. I've met a few Christian women in my life, but I never had a good connection with them. I went to church so many times hoping that that day I would meet someone. It has been 42 years of a constant search, prayer, and even fasting. I even made a vision board with a photoshop of me getting married and I bought a ring that I wear when I am praying as a sign of faith. I really don't know what else I can do.

Thank You Jesus!! I was meant to watch this. I have been with online dating for a few years .Recently God has told me that I am not to make my search an idol but to leave it in His hands.
