Yes, narrowing of standard deviation of bands means consolidation due to lack of volatility. In other words a wedge or pennant is being formed on one of the time frames.

U need to use bb with MA 5, 10 low and high.
Its called BBMAOA technique.

Or or or, add a 200 ema and if it’s above only go for long positions. If it is below go for shorts only. Combine it with trendlines on the 1D and 4H and you’ve got expectations on when the trend will change.

What people dont get here is that bollingerbands are a lagging indicator, which means they respond to rather than predict price changes, potentially informing you of changes after they've already happened.
