We are in the last days. Things will get worse before they get better. But, this is a call to all saints to be watchful and endure to the end because that end will be great for all who believe. There will be no more pain, or sorrow, or death. All will be made right. Even though the devil and all who are unbelievers will try to war against the Lord, they will not succeed! Our King of Kings and Lord of Lords will prevail (Revelation 17: 14)! Praise the name of the Lord!

I like how Tara Leigh throws in a little joke now and then. For example, today she made a quick analogy to the Atlanta airport. Her recaps and the schedule make reading the whole Bible achievable. I can’t believe I’m almost finished!

I’m so thankful for this recap. As to me this book has been a very confusing read to me, however, because of Tara‘s recaps, and God blessing me with wisdom. I’m able to get a further understanding of God, even through all my confusion in this book. What stood out to me today was how God is truly the one in control of everything, even though there is evil in this world, God is in control of it, and he will use it to fulfill his ultimate good plan. This reminder helps me to have an attitude of hope, even through the confusing and scary times that are mentioned in the book of revelations. I pray today that we can all find hope throughout the troubling times and that we can all have a continuous and constant hope and faith in our God as all things work to fulfill his plan, our God is so good. God bless all of you today✝️💪

God so loved the world! His ways are so much higher than ours! He is faithful and just! He is so patient, he is not pacing the throne room nor shocked. He is sovereign! He is good! He is Holy!
More and more, my confidence is in Jesus. He gives faith to stand and solid hope. Reading the Bible all the way through, chronologically has brought a better context for me. It’s changing my life. My 17 year old started TBR before I did and she’s almost finished but going at a different pace. I loved that TLC said to readers, you are right where God wants you, his timing is perfect. My husband is going to start it with me for 2024!! That is a HUGE deal! One way to abide in Christ is to open his word. I’m so thankful for this plan!

I can imagine the comfort these chapters would be to first century Christians. Rome was the cause of so much misery for them, including John himself. John was tortured and then exiled, many of his closet companions were murdered by Rome.

Rev 15:3-4, "Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations."..."For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, "...

Rev 17:14, ..."but the lamb will triumph over the because he is Lord of lords and King of kings." 🙌🏽

The woman and the dragon in ch 12 reminds me a lot of my own spiritual life journey. Throughout my life I faced opposition to the plans and purposes of God in my life and have had moments of nearly giving into the enemy after seeing friends in my life give in. Every time God was about to birth something big in my life, I always faced warfare and opposition from the enemy from every side. But thanks to the powerful work of God delivering me from fear, anger and the work of the enemy in my life, I have over come by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony!

I love the clear reminders here that God is in control. 17:17 reminds us that God puts into hearts to fulfill His purpose. I also love 17:14, a great reminder that those who are with Him are called chosen and faithful.

I did notice the second “Blessed” statement in 14:13- Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.

12:7 specifically spoke about an angel, Michael, and I can’t remember if we have heard mention of him before. My son recently asked me about an angel named Michael from a book he is reading, but I felt like I didn’t have anything to contribute biblically to his inquiry. My study bible has a note that says Michael was the archangel who was assigned to protect Israel in Daniel (12:1) which makes me want to go back and reread.

What really stands out to me is the call to whoever has ears let them hear, and even after the plagues and awful things, so many refused to repent of their deeds and chose death and separation from God. Jesus is so clear in 16:15 that He will come quickly like a thief, blessed (#3)is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.

Wow, Revelation has never been more beautiful and rich to me. When singing “worthy is the lamb” over and over yesterday, it had a whole new meaning for me. As I sang, I was lost in thought of the scroll and the seal and nobody being worthy to open or look at it- except the lamb! I imagined myself singing among the thousands of thousands “worthy is the lamb, holy, holy, holy are you Lord God, almighty!” So much packed into those words that I’ve sang hundreds, maybe even thousands of times, yet provide such new and profound meaning now. Praise Him!

The Lamb is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Amen. 🙏
He is our conqueror and He is where the Joy is. Amen

I appreciate and am comforted by the interpretation of the mark of the beast being the anti-shema and the name of the ruler and system of the opposition to God’s kingdom. There may not be some physical coding or mark that controls whether we can buy anything (as we’ve seen in movies like “A Thief in the Night”), but rather an identity of alignment and faith in an evil, authoritarian culture—or faithfulness to the Lord. What we do know is that Jesus calls us to suffer faithfully and know that we will join Him and the saints forever in the New Jerusalem that we’ll read about tomorrow!

I have one more day I’m so proud of myself. I have really enjoyed TBR and you TLC your such a blessing. I definitely want to worship God. I will keep my commandments to God. We stand firm on God’s goodness and is wisdom and power. God makes even bend for his purpose. We are chosen and faithful. He is definitely where the joy is 🙏🏽🙌🏽
