I Built the Ultimate Samsung Dex Setup

Samsung Dex is probably one of the coolest Android phone features out ther right now. Having one device that can do almost everything, easily carry around and use is great.

However, to make it the ultimate productivity machine, you need a keyboard and other peripherals. Inspired by some interesting Macbook Pro and Samsung Dex setups, as well as the phone to laptop video by DIY Perks, I created the MechDex Pro.

The MechDex Pro is the ultimate Dex accessory, giving you access to a mechanical keyboard and a full USB-C hub for extended functionality, all in a chassis thats barely bigger than an iPad. Depending on the device, you can then cast your Dex wirelessly or wired and have a fully usable and modular on the go machine. What's not to love!

I think it is a cool concept... Kudos to you. I opted for running DEX across 4 Samsung monitors, wirelessly, and bluetooth keyboard/mouse. The phone sits on a QI charger for most of the day. ;-)

Just buy a monitor with USB 3.1 with built-in hub for all your accessories. It also charges up your phone so no need to dock it. The extra space at the back of the phone can be used to clip on coolers for GPU and CPU intensive apps.

I love this. Though have you considered using a portable touchscreen monitor instead? You can get a good quality for pretty cheap nowadays. I prefer them mainly because touchpads are so bad on Android and i get to use the phone as a second screen.

I've used xtendtouch, just ordered a used uperfect y and will eventually try it the nexpad.
