HE was like a big golden retriever ... just want to be loved.

You don’t hear many people say “yes sir” in an interview. He was so polite and so loveable. I wish we could have all given him a giant hug. He was a key part of the early 90’s.

He really was such a gentle giant. Never offensive, never mean, never angry. Just funny.

He was in a class of his own. It’s been 25 years since we lost him, but I still find myself searching online for clips and enjoying every moment I can.

My face is sore from grinning the whole video. Chris Farley was such a good human being. Reminds me of this Norm MacDonald quote. "It's one thing to make people laugh, it's another to make people smile." RIP Chris. You'll always be one of comedy's most loveable people.

This is one of the few interviews that Dave is laughing so hard! You can tell he really liked Chris and recognized his raw talent.

Watching this, I sensed that Letterman was genuinely fond of Farley, and that Farley was in legit awe of Letterman. That was sweet to see.

I haven't seen a video of him in a long time. I forget just how adorable & brilliantly funny he was.

A funny guy will fall back in their chair once. A legend does it twice . Rip Big guy. We miss ya

If there was any comedy justice, this guy would've lived forever. A sweet soul in an explosion of hysterical chaos.

Never have I seen Dave so giddy with a guest…Chris lived a month in each day and poured his heart into every moment - all we can say is thank you 😢

This is heartbreaking. Chris had an endearing, sort of-innocence about him. There’s a childlike wonder in his eyes. His enthusiasm when talking about making Tommy Boy and working with David Spade is so genuine. He looks at Dave with such adoration. It’s almost like, whether it’s talking to Letterman, or being in SNL, or making Tommy Boy, he doesn’t think he deserves to be there, but he’s so happy that he is. What a guy…

He was so happy to be on the show, I can feel it through the screen, a true humble man, legendary.

Ive never watched this and not experienced every level of laughter. From hillarious, to outrageous fist pump to awwww how cute, to bubbling chuckles Chris can make a human laugh like no other.

Chris Farley may have went by like a giant bright flaming comet but wherever he is I hope he knows he still makes people feel good when they are down and laugh for a few minutes when all seems lost.

What else greater thing to do in the short or long time a person has on this earth. The big ol man boy that is timeless laughter.

Thanks Chris.

That was absolute gold!!! Chris was an astronomical talent that we lost far too soon. If there is no afterlife, we are all fortunate that his energy lives on through YouTube.

Chris looked so anxious you just want to hug him. What a talent and what a sweet guy.

I'm just in tears watching this - Chris is so full of life, such a force of nature and explodes with so much sweetness. I'm thankful for the all too brief time we had him on this planet and grateful for the humor he left behind to continue to make our lives better.

Awe, Chris. He was such a talent! I really appreciate that David Letterman treated him so kindly—especially that kiss he planted on him.
