The invention of the book objectified "truth" and perpetuated the dangerous tribalism that we're starting to free ourselves from. Spiritual but not religious is definitely where I'm at these days after being raised Christian, with the Bible. Thanks for the fascinating conversation.

The Abrahamic religions helped me become an atheist. Not to say that there are many truths within their texts, but as for a divine influence I have yet to be convinced. Faith is based on false promises. None of us know what happens after we die.

In the Nag Hamadi library we find the demonization of Yahweh, as Satan, the god of the world, the demiurge.
