Whenever I’m asked what my favorite Green Day song is, it’s impossible for me to choose between this, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Holiday and Scattered. Those are four of the only songs that I always feel like listening to no matter where I am or how I feel, so it’s pretty much an equal tie.

As if anyone thought you could re record this song and make it sound even better??? This is the absolute best version of this song and its not even close. They somehow took the dark recipe from Insomniac, reproduced it and cleaned it off just to make it even darker and dirtier than the orginal. Listen how the heavy hit of the crash during the chorus/bridge blends with the sludge of Billies Blue and emphasizes the grit of this song. Alot of people dont recognize the true masterpiece that this song was/is. An ode to all of us in our mid to late 20’s countering what we see everywhere and drowning it out with the exact opposite. I cant begin to explain how happy i am to have these sessions released. As a Green day fan for almost 20 years, they never fail to find a way to bring back that old spunk and drive us day one fans back to the good ol days. When we shit on the agenda before us just to pave our own and set it ablaze right after and laugh it off! Destruction with a mix of coming together to laugh at the way we carry ourselves in this young age, keep being icons green day.
