An Idea Lives On

This November, the world will once again be talking about President Kennedy's death. Revisiting the familiar grainy footage. Retreading theories about that fateful day in Dallas. The JFK Library aims to shift the conversation away from his death and toward the many ways in which President Kennedy lives on today. His timeless ideals and ongoing relevance. As JFK himself said: "A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on."

An Idea Lives On will be an interactive tapestry illustrating the ways in which he lives on today, told by those who continue to feel his presence in their lives today. The stories will take many forms: video, audio, text, photographs—even social media posts. These submissions, collected from people all over the world, will be woven together in a dynamic stream of engaging personal stories, putting a modern, human face on the enduring impact of our nation's 35th president.
