I'll say something right here. I never really truly hated how the newer rappers rhyme on the trap beats of today, because that's how Hammer was rhyming back in the day on the studio version of this classic. Perfect example: Kendrick's "DNA."

I love how Hip-Hop can shift shape through the generations and some of the things your artists did then show up in today's artists (not the fakes who trash it to flex, but the trues who love the art form and make it better--yes they're out there, go look for them) and vice versa from an artist that was ahead of their time.

Put Hammer's "Get It Started" rhymes in the mix with a trap beat at this tempo (but half-time) and you'll hear exactly what I'm saying. 😁
