on chrome plated plastic you can use aerosol oven cleaner to remove the chrome. Then paint the plastic.

Important note: THIS is a 2 part primer! It's on the bottom where he showed you, if you go to auto store they will not have this and only 1 part epoxy - this 1 part will not work, try to get 2 part everything whenever your painting your car

This may sound like a stupid question but you mentioned what parts of a vehicle not to do this on and I am about to tear into a project bike. I want all of the chrome parts blacked out so id like to know whether you suggest this process for a bike as well? Great video! Thanks!

Looks good man, yal make sure to use a 2 part clear coat for the final coat for durability, or a 2 part satin/matte paint for the final coat! I've tried the expensive 1 part rattle can and it just doesn't hold up to the heat, weather, and washes and it will look bad in 1 to 2 years 👌

U got a plastic video? I’ve painted plastic with high build sanded smooth and painted. Seen some use bully dog adhesion promoter. Want to do my 11 Silverado front. Just wandering. In Florida we got hella bugs don’t want it coming off! I’ll spray a few extra coats of clear to play it safe eitherway

Would this work for the rims on drums? I want to paint mine black as I have a white kit to create a contrast, would this technique work for that?

All those overspray and paint particles in the air are gonna fly straight to the Honda Pilot with the help from the wind. Been there done that. No bueno.

Just as a precautiion, I personally would wear a respirator while sanding chrome. The process to produce chrome plating is especially toxic. Creating dust and breathing it, as well as absorbing it into your bloodstream can have lasting effects.
