Dolmar 7900 stock vs ported with WoJo muffler

Here's the wojo'd dolmar from the last video with a port job (still the same untouched chain) what a strong 80cc saw! I'm really anxious to see now how it compete against the new stihl 500i injection saw (they share pretty much the same displacement). I will hopefully pick up a 500i for testing and porting in january ;)

the comparison to the 500i would be indeed interesting.
Let's see, if the torque and power specs on paper are met in reality!
But don't expect any wonders from the 500i. 80cc is 80cc, injection or carb... the difference is fuel efficiency, to meet upcoming, even stricter environmental laws

Is it the same saw as the makita dcs 7900?

What rpm did you have the stock version set at? The 7900 max rpm is 13, 500 and it sounded like you had it dialed down to around 11k. The after video sounded much closer to 13, 5.

The 500 will be lighter, hell, a ported 462 is lighter and runs with the 7900
