"I don't care what you think about me, I don't think about you at all"

Wow, what a savage quote

Is it me or am I seeing fashion brands clean their reputation better than a canceled person on social media?

"I don't care what you think of me. I don't think of you at all." I feel utterly destroyed by a person that is dead for decades, now.

The Fashion industry is a chimera of glamour. It is ruthless underneath.

It’s crazy how the designer only gets a small percentage while the business person takes majority of the earnings when it should be 50/50.

Chanel is a privately held company owned by Alain and Gerard Wertheimer, grandsons of Pierre Wertheimer, who was an early business partner of Coco Chanel. This company isn't on the stock market.

She was banished from
Paris by the French Resistance when WW2 ended. She had to leave France because of her relationship/ lover of a high ranking Nazi officer. This was a woman who would do "Anything" to survive, the definition of opportinist doesn't even define it. The shame and scandal "Branded" her a treasonist to her country. Super talent with beyond questionable morals! I've known this and it has always tainted Madame Chanel for me. How high can you go and how low!

It’s hard to expect her to have been empathetic or normal due to her childhood trauma unfortunately many people turn narcissistic after said trauma

As a fashion design student back in the early 2010s, Coco Chanel's entrepreneur spirit and design innovations were simply revolutionary to study about during an assignment given to research on famous influential fashion designers of that era to see what they contributed to the fashion scene. .. and after learning about her backstory and her influence to women's fashion to the point of revolutionizing the women's fashion scene and the release from the corset is just awe inspiring to me. Am I ever grateful for her existence and designs cause now the modern women can wear more than tight dresses and corsets! Though I definitely didn't get to get into researching more about the uh, the more mysterious and unsavory things about her life since the focus was about her fashion legacy rather than entire life back then, but it's nice to learn more about things of her as a person beyond her as a fashion designer and entrepreneur, this is neat!

Chanel No. 5 is an overbearing scent. I didn’t ever understand how it was so popular. I guess it makes sense it’s considered her “trademark.” It’s basically a representation of her character and drive in life. Super saddening she helped those monsters. May God have mercy on her soul.

Great video 👏🏼

It seems Coco wanted to be on what she thought was the winning side for the business opportunities the connections could provide, later mopping up the moral repercussions that followed by "negotiating" with those she rightly felt could use their personal knowledge of her dubious activities to undermine her career. It's really a not-so-unusual scene in the high stakes business and political world, unfortunately....

Why does it seems like all these fashion designers all have the same back story

As always money covers up wrong doing. The principle still exists in fashion today, from the sweat factories to the pedophilia in fashion brands like Balenciaga. Thankfully more people are waking up to it and refusing to compromise their values by wearing a piece of designer 'bloodstained' cloth. Great edit by the way

I would never buy any designer clothes, bags, jewellery, etc.
It’s all overpriced, and you’re pocketing the pockets of the Werthimer family. They must be laughing at us all whilst skipping to their big mansions
Chanel No5 is a horrible scent, and I couldn’t understand how people would wear it.
Very interesting video about her life though. I really enjoyed.
Thank you

Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate whether or not we’re going into a recession and precisely when it’s going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.

She wasn't the only one dealing with the Nazis. Henry Ford (Big anti Semite), Hugo Boss (designed SS uniforms), Fanta and others.

In the Versace video's intro when all the models were repeating the same word "Versace", it gave me goosebumps. I really love your videos
