As someone who’s hard of hearing, I also appreciate your use of captions. Thank you.

it’s funny bc tom holland once said he has to be overly animated when he’s in the spider-man suit bc nobody’s can see his facial expressions!

I use my hands a lot when talking, I used to do a lot of public speaking for my school when I was younger, and I used to dance, my teachers and parents told me I should use my hands more when I speak, and now I do. I also can’t keep my hands still for a long time, so it helps me a lot. I do get made fun of for it all the time.

A lot of channels underestimate the importance of making it understandable for people with mediocre english skills. A lot of the time a small tweak to the talking speed and some pronounciations will do.

It's really stupid common for ND people to use their hands while talking. It can literally be a part of someone's baseline. The audacity of that person....

Or you are 1/2 Italian like me and can’t ever put your hands down. It’s real

If you complain about someone moving their hands when they talk... What are you even doing? Why? Honestly if it bothers you (it really shouldn't) than ya better suck it tf up because it's pretty ridiculous.

I've never done acting, but I am very animated with my hands while speaking. So much so that I can articulate what I want to say better when I do use them.

i remember once in middle school, my friends told me to sit on my hands. It was surprising that I couldn't speak as easily.

In my culture we love people that use their hands when talking! We call it "talking with your hands". Its seen as a beautiful thing! It adds so much personality to the conversation. My mom's like this and i just love watching her talk 🥺💜

I was wondering about that comment, "put your hands down Jesus" . Seems like a heckler at Golgotha.

It’s okay, I don’t think they were talking to you anyway. They were talking to Jesus, my man Jesus loves his hand gestures. 🙏

English is my 1st language and I’m not hard of hearing, but I grew up with my mom and her side of the family talking with their hands and I don’t know why but I can hear better when I see people talking with their hands. The movements could mean NOTHING but it helps.

I hope that makes sense haha

Nothing wrong with using your hands. Some people are just so judgey, Jesus!

I worked with a lot of CP kids from 2016-2018 in Florida! That’s so cool that you did that too! ❤

It can also be cultural, so that comment was a bummer. Hopefully it can lead to cultural competency and a reversal of the ableist mindset. Sending love ❤

I think being overanimated isn't bad. I'm autistic, so when people are overanimated with their facial expression and gestures it makes it easier for me to understand them.

Pronouncing your words, talking slower and captions help a lot more than flailing around. You have the body language of a dog that really wants to go for a walk. Which while endearing, does not say much of anything else because the body language we look for while talking to people is not this.
