This young woman is spot on regarding narcissists. Her videos are less than 3 minutes and are informative and most insightful, in short, great information. D

For over 37 years I seriously suffered this toxicity and I am a happy person; but he would crush me and wonderful moments. I barely found out of NPD on April 2021 💔😓. Divorcing I wish it was finalized

The first step in avoiding a trap ... is knowing of its existence. (Dune, Frank Herbert) Word! 😄

I'll never forget I took my ex-narcissist to a birthday party for my cousin's husband and the narcissist was fine for the first 30 minutes and then slowly isolated himself from the crowd, followed by a silent treatment and then on the way home he screamed at me in the car. It was about a 25-minute drive, and it was scary, to say the least. He couldn't handle me socializing with my friends and family and him not being the center of attention.

My sibling is like that took me ten years to get that. You’re not going to steal my joy today.

Thanks.

@2:10 the day I married ex narc we got into a huge fight 30min after being married and he said marrying me was a mistake. As anyone I walked off defeated and crying and tooked the elevator alone. On my way back I bumped into Tyson Beckford I was such a mess but so excited because I never seen a celebrity up close. I ran to our friends room and was telling them who I met and then HE walks in (mean spirted). I was on such cloud nine that I blurted out to him "you are not going to ruin my day". He was even more pissed that I was in such a better mood. I'm just now learning this is actually a tactic 😂😂

My soon to be ex husband and I adopted our only child at birth. She knows she was adopted. And lately he has been showering all this wealth onto her since August and in his opinion he’s the best dad ever.
Well, he actually, just got knocked off his high horse. I gave a picture to our daughter of her actual real biological family which includes a picture of her birth mother and her birth dad and her little brother. All a family now and so she’ll no longer be thinking about him. She’s now thinking about her biological family.
See, it doesn’t hurt me to know she’s dreaming of life with them because he has alienated me from her anyway for a long time for his selfish reasons.
So I undid all that and I defeated him without spending a single dime.

Wow. I had not thought about the specificity of coming after my best moments. My OCPD/Narcissist manager always took offense to my what made me strong, healthy, productive, liked, etc. I had never really thought about that. I learned to Grey Rock, learned to stop ruminating and explain myself. I learned to work on being a healthy self regardless of my surroundings, but I don't think I noticed how closely tied the joy/freedom/self was to their pattern of abuse. I still work with him. He hoovers when he is scared, and abuses when he is feeling strong. Such a weird thing to pretend I don't notice any of it and to get back to creating the joy in my life.

Sometimes it's not just the one narcissist, like a bf you can just break up with and get away from. Rather, what if there are several or many, like as in family members and their behaviors from over the years? Whar if you have to deal with them for certain reasons, at least for a period of time, until a situation gets resolved, what if they're using finances to control you, while they lie and say or act like it's for your best interest? .
