Bloody Legend !
As a female having grown up in Tassie ( On the North side ) I do know how hard and changeable the conditions can be and I was always an outdoors kids. Walking in the cold and the rain.. Camping in less than ideal weather and really not caring so much !... But such is the ignorance of youth.
I have loved every minute of watching Alone Australia and particularly because it was filmed in my birthplace of Tassie and Gina..You couldnt make me more proud of being a strong woman..

I spent six months, TWICE in my life, completely alone in the wilderness with nothing but primitive gear I manufactured. Once was in the swamps of Louisiana, and the other, in a stretch of Appalachia, where you see NO one. Neither time did I lose any weight, or come home hungry.
Hence, my name here. I taught outdoor survival to military personnel for the DoD for 25 years. (now retired).

Gina was absolutely incredible and such a deserved winner. I actually really liked Mike as well and it was great to watch how skilled he was and his resolve to win, although it felt like it came from a very different place than Gina's. Ultimately, luck went against him a little with the trapping and Gina stumbled across a Pademelon piing haha but I still feel like she had another few weeks or a month in her as she was catching fish and at peace with the environment. I thought it was weird that Mike's story was barely told on the reunion show and he was the only one to not be interviewed by the host, I'm guessing his competitiveness meant that he was still a bit salty about not quite getting over the finish line. He looked absolutely devastated on the reunion show every time Gina said something and the cameras cut to him.

Australia Alone a very depressing place they were all dropped into. I am surprised these people lasted more than a week.
