Hey Joey! Great content as always. I just finished Unbound and wow, it was fantastic. I am about start Sword and Shield Ultimate Plus. In case your followers are having trouble patching the FireRed GBA rom to the sword and shield patch files, you need to have the correct crc32 rom version of the game otherwise it won't let you patch. It took me forever and a day to find the correct rom file. Just thought I would add in case someone else is having trouble and wondering why it's not working because the readme file is not specific and only states that you need a copy of the FireRed rom.

Highly suggest the Pokemon Legacy games - Yellow, Crystal and Emerald. All fantastic, and faithful hacks.

These romhack videos are great. I really like the ones that change the story to a different part of the series like playing as blue, a team rocket member, anime/manga stories.
There are some alternative perspective romhacks in other series as well like zelda or fire emblem but they're not nearly as good as the pokemon ones.

on the last 2 3 months there was a boom on the gb/c rom hack scene as well, LOTS of good rom hacks there, polished crystal, Shin red, Brown

Emerald seaglass is exactly the game for me I love gen2 aesthetics and emerald is my favorite Pokemon game

Three minor gripes w/ Emerald Seaglass:
1, Flip Turn isn’t as present as U-Turn or Volt Switch
2, Farfetch’d wasn’t able to get his evolution
3, Safari Zone still crashes on MyBoy but thankfully works on other emulators

You should also mention for some of these romhacks to work with retroachivements, they need the right version patch to match the game hash.

If I remember right, Pokemon Radical Red requires an older version to be supported for example.

Luckily retroachivements in the hack's supported game files link normally has the proper patch version in the downloads.
